Shawn R. Beckett
Shawn R. Beckett graduated from Swarthmore College in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and received his Jurist Doctorate from Temple University School of Law in 2007. He is an excellent communicator and a former Philadelphia Public School Teacher.
Shawn is active in his community and is an active mentor. He is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity and continues to be involved in their leadership activities.
His interest in family law and representing clients in divorce, custody and child abuse cases comes from his life experience as a teacher, working with children and their families, as well as from his prior legal employment with a South Jersey law firm.
He is also passionate about representing clients in criminal cases, seeking to assure that they obtain the best outcome under the circumstances. Shawn gained criminal experience while working at the Philadelphia Public Defender’s Office where he assisted in the representation of clients. While working with a small New Jersey law firm, he had the opportunity to handle criminal and municipal court cases from beginning to end.
Shawn is a strong Social Security Disability advocate. His experience comes from working with the nation’s largest disability firm and handling cases across the country.
